About Midtfyns Bryghus
The Danish craft brewery Midtfyns Bryghus has been owned by Eddie since 2006. The brewery has a broad product range in all different styles of beer. When owner Eddie Szweda in Nov. 2006 bought the brewery, licence brewing was terminated and a new strategy of own-beer-production was employed.
During this past decade Midtfyns Bryghus has experienced vast annual growth rates and we have gone from a position as a minor local unknown micro brewery to a critically acclaimed craft brewery with strong national presence. We have exported our beer to the following countries: China, Taiwan, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Holland, Germany, Canada and the USa
Products
Our product range of top fermented beers is varied, we do not produce one beer for the general palette, instead we strive to offer a product range where there always will be something for everyone. Our aim for our beers is to create a WOW-experience for the consumers, thus we always test our beers on a broad audience consisting of both skilled experts and general consumers to ensure an exciting dynamic in our production of quality beer. In addition to our own in-house development we continuously engage in partnerships with both skilled home brewers and professional experts, our Rough Snuff and X – Porter are both highly critically acclaimed and the result of successful collaborations with Brouwerij De Molen (X – Porter) from Holland and an award winning amateaur local brewer (Rough Snuff).
Awards
In the last 16 years we have, as mentioned earlier, won numerous awards, both national and international. With a focus on crafting a wide and varied selection of beers we have won the Danish Beer Enthusiast’s best new beer award four times, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2015. Internationally, we have won the world’s best award in two categories, in 2012, Chili Tripel won in “herbs and spices” and Double IPA won in the IPA category. Our Imperial Stout won both a silver star for consumers favourite and a gold star for best Imperial Stout at the 2015 European Beer Awards.
