Who is “It’s Frank”?
The idea came about on a bike ride — a thought that just wouldn’t let go. With backing from Kost Capital and an Innofounder grant, the journey from idea to finished sausage began. Chefs, family, friends and consumers all tasted along the way, while we tested, adjusted and refined the recipe again and again.
New equipment, new routines, a name and a logo — bit by bit, the project took shape. At Folkemødet on Bornholm, we fired up the grill and let real consumers have a taste. That feedback became an important step along the way.
Since then, the recognition has followed. In the Sol over Gudhjem competition, we won both the IRMA Prize and the Innovation Prize, and at the Danish Hot Dog Championship, we took a proud second place as well as the Innovation Prize. We have also been named finalists for Produktprisen 2026 in collaboration with SuperBrugsen and Kvickly. Proof that the idea from the bike ride was worth pursuing.
