Robert Damkjær A/S produces and sells a wide range of refrigerated, frozen and canned products made from chicken, turkey and beef. The tradition and respect for good craftsmanship within sausage making are the cornerstones of the company – and still apply today, where the production equipment and customer group have grown significantly.

The majority of production is exported worldwide, but we also sell chicken sausages and meat sausages, which can be found in the Danish refrigerated counters in supermarkets and specialty stores.

We are a family-owned company, established in 1961 by Robert and Poul Erik Damkjær – father and son – and which is today managed by the second generation of the Damkjær family.

Our domicile is located near Haderslev in Southern Jutland, where we have factory and office facilities with 100 employees.

POULTRY is Denmark’s oldest poultry brand. Our dedication to quality, consideration and animal welfare stems from our founder, Marie Pedersen – also called ‘Chicken Marie’. Back in 1952, Marie founded the former Vinderup Poultry Slaughterhouse, now ROSE POULTRY.

Marie was at the forefront of the industry and set new standards for breeding and quality and she had an eye for animal welfare and sustainability long before these became popular terms. That DNA lives on in ROSE POULTRY. Danish, local quality with consideration for animals and the environment was the most important thing then, and still is today. We make an effort to transform passion and professionalism into healthy and tasty products for both consumers and climate.

Today, we are Denmark’s largest chicken producer by number of slaughters. We produce quality chicken that is Danish throughout the entire production chain. Every single step in the production is carefully optimized for quality, safety, and well-being.

We can very proudly say that both of our production’s plants achieved the highest possible BRCG score for food safety in both 2023 and 2024. All our products are halal certified and because of many years of massive and targeted efforts, we have eradicated the occurrence of salmonella in Danish chickens, and today Danish chickens has special status in the EU as salmonella-free.

The well-being of our chickens is one of our highest priorities. Our Danish chicken producers are carefully selected according to their dedication to the good Danish traditions of high quality and great focus on animal welfare and well-being. We carefully monitor all stages of the chicken’s lives, and we can document their well-being.

E. Lampe Pølsegården ApS

Quality for 3 generations
Slagter Lampe is an old family company from southern Denmark, where craftmanship and the respect for the butcher trade since 1939 has been the basis for the production of Denmark’s best sausages. Today it is the third generation of the butcher family – Steen Lampe, who owns and runs the sausage company in Haderslev. Steen Lampe and the educated and proficient employees ensure the quality of the old traditions.

The traditions is still living
Ernst Lampe, who opened a butchershop in Haderslev, founded the company in 1939. Many of the craftmanships methods in the old traditions are still a part of the company today. The sausages are still made after old recepies, the same mix of spices and smoked over beech wood, which make the sausage unique and is an important part of Slagter Lampe.

International recognition
The old butcher shop is today closed and Steen Lampe has moved the production to modern facilities. Slagter Lampe is synonym with classic southern Denmark, which stands for quality and old traditions. Through the years, Slagter Lampe has received several national and international medals and gratuities for their sausages.

3-Stjernet was founded in 1950 by Aage Jensen. He was a skilled young butcher and had a particular interest in Salami production. The success was immediate as the Danish consumers enjoyed the high quality salami with the specific fresh saline taste. Today we are the market leader in Denmark for cold cuts with a brand awareness on 95 %.

In 2015 Aalbæk Specialiteter was acquired by 3-Stjernet A/S. Subsequently to the acquisition the company name was changed to Atria Danmark A/S under which Aalbæk Specialiteter, as well as 3-Stjernet, are continued as brands.
