Organic Spices, Legumes, Spreads, Muesli & Rice Cakes
In Mariager in Denmark, we have been producing organic products for more than 40 years. Organic food is a real matter of the heart for us and since 1972 we have seen organic as a sustainable solution to the worlds climate problems. Our production in Mariager was the first organic production to be ISO 14001 environmentally certified and we work daily to reduce our production waste in the development of new organic and sustainable products.

Dried Fruits and Berries, Nuts & Kernels
Just outside the city of Aarhus in Denmark we have our own in-house roastery production line where we are experts in dry roasting nuts and kernels to perfection. First, we salt the products after which they are gently roasted at low temperatures which gives the nuts and kernels a perfect crunch and a light salted taste. Dry roasting imply that we do not add any oil in the roasting of the products, but bring out the nutty flavours naturally. After roasting the products, we either mix in accordance to special developed recipes or we pack them directly into different types of bags e.g. pillow bags, Four Corner Bags or Doy Packs.

J/D Sauce imports original Japanese Soy and Teriyaki Sauce in bulk. The sauce is re-packed into smaller units, for Supermarket Chains, Catering Companies as well for the Industrial market, ranging from 150 ml and up to 1000 L containers.

Our supplier has been brewing soy sauce for more than 300 years. The soy sauce is brewed in a manner seeking the delicious natural taste made by nature. The basis raw materials are Non GMO soy beans and wheat which is steamed and roasted. To this mixture a “Koji” culture and sun dried salt is added. The culture starts a natural fermentation process as known from for instance beer brewing. In case of soy sauce this proces takes approximately 6 months. After completing the fermentation the mixture is pressed resulting in the natural pure soy sauce well known from Japanese cuisine.

The main part of our production is under private labels, of which a great part is re-exported after production.
Japanese soy sauce and teriyaki sauce are used in dressings, marinades and in the production of processed foods. Soy sauce is also used for spring-rolls, soups, pasta and rice dishes, – whenever you want to spice up your food.

Besides the Japanese soy sauce we with rights of exclusivity in EU, UK and NO do we also import a very tasty Topping Product as Crispy Roasted Garlic Crunch in Sesame Chili oil as well some more tasty topping products from Asia, like Ginger/Garlic Chrunch in oil.

Since 2017, we have created organic liquid herbs to make food taste better in a simple, honest, and delicious way.

It all started with the good friends Michael and Troels wanting to create an urban garden. As their garden grew, their irritation over wasted, withered herbs grew along with it. They were overwhelmed until suddenly the idea arose to make liquid herbs. After many experiments and an investment from the Danish TV show Dragons’ Den, we are sitting here today with the perfect liquid herbs – if we must say so ourselves.

Our Products

Liquid herbs makes cooking easier while securing less waste and we have as many as 11 different varieties of them.

We chop the herbs gently and mix them with sea salt and organic vinegar. That’s it! It’s an old household trick and a natural way to preserve fresh food. Without any extra hocus pocus, the liquid herbs can last for two years – even after opening. They also do not need to be refrigerated. Leave them on your kitchen table, so the fresh taste is always at hand.

Our raw material consists of quality sprat that are hand-picked
when they are at their best, namely in the cold winter months.

We use fermentation/old-fashioned maturation, and therefore
the finished fish sauce consists exclusively of fish and salt and
is without additives of any kind.

The use of the mild sprat gives a more versatile product that
can be used as a flavour enhancer in Asian dishes and in other
good dishes from the whole world.

The yellow rape fields and the aroma summer on Bornholm. Golden oil from millions of rapeseeds. On Bornholm, nature offers many experiences that can liven up the table when we dine. Cold-pressed rapeseed germ oil from Lehnsgaard is such an experience and is “the olive oil of the north” – a virgin oil that deserves much greater attention in our kitchen. Rapeseed germ oil has a naturally high content of omega 3. The balance between omega 3 and 6 make the oil one of the healthiest cooking oils on the market.

Bornholm is surrounded by the Baltic Sea, where fresh air and more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in Denmark create a perfect climate for the cultivation of rape. A mild spring and a sunny summer are ideal for rapeseed and you can taste that in the finished and pressed rapeseed germ oil.
